The IOT is Ｏne of the biggest revolutions since the Internet was invented and has become the foundation to support Kohler’s strategic approach toward Smart Home arena. As a senior UX designer, you will be primarily responsible for guiding and leading the development of Kohler Smart Home user experience for both new and existing product categories. You will work directly with different category teams to design the physical and digital experience and drive the cross-category design consistency. In the role, you will interact with new product development (NPD) teams Ｏn UXUI design. From upfront market strategies/ user research, experience ideation to design evaluation and user/ field testing. Continue to create, build, and improve the experience conventions through agile iterations and analytic results. The goal is to deliver great products and services to improve the level of gracious living for our customer’s homes and their lifestyles. Expectations & Responsibilities 61 Lead UX/UI work through research and user centered design process to deliver leading edge experiences 61 Collaborate with business stakeholders and external consultants to define and implement innovative solutions 61 Expert in UX/UI design methods, able to leverage user centered design tools and process to guide and communicate with key stakeholders and global teams 61 Proficient with design software such as Adobe CC; UX/UI development and prototyping tools such as Figma 61 Practical knowledge and understanding of digital technologies. Experience with an IoT ecosystem and product developments is a plus 61 Continually work and feed core team with latest UX/UI trends, techniques, and technologies 61 Fluent in both English and Chinese Education & Experience Requirements 61 Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college of design with academic emphasis in UX/UI design or a related discipline 61 5 years of experience in a UX/UI design role with strong digital portfolio 61 Experience in leading UX/UI projects and initiatives independently 61 Master’s degree preferred 61 Strong portfolio of applying user-centered design practices in physical and digital product design 61 Skills in understanding and synthesizing user needs through methods like contextual inquiry, persona development or participatory design 61 Skills in evaluating concepts and products using heuristic reviews, formative and summative usability studies 61 Ability to create interactive prototypes with software like proto.io, Figma, or Origami 61 Excellent communication, presentation, storyboarding, and negotiation skills RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS Supervisory Relationships: 61 Reports to global UX/UI Design Director Organization Relationships: 61 Collaborate with new product development team 61 Collaborate with Engineers, Marketers, and Industrial Designers External Business Relationships: 61 Collaborate with design consultants 61 Collaborate with vendors and suppliers 61 Attends industry trade shows and UX/UI seminars as needed
