We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Automation and Advanced Technology Engineering Sr. Manager to lead global initiatives in automation and smart manufacturing for our fluid transfer manufacturing operations. This strategic role will oversee the implementation of advanced technologies across our worldwide automotive manufacturing footprint, driving innovation, operational efficiency, and competitive advantage. It is important that this role has knowledge of the forward thinking automation technology. Essential responsibilities, duties and authority
61 Develop global strategy for development and implementation of process automation, simplification and efficiency to meet our aggressive 5 year cost objectives.
61 Lead global engineering efforts to develop optimize automation strategies across multiple manufacturing sites focused On fluid transmission systems (e.g., fuel lines, brake lines, hoses, and cooling systems).
61 Evaluate and implement advanced technologies including robotics, IoT, AI-driven analytics, and smart manufacturing systems in alignment with corporate goals.
61 Drive the design and deployment of scalable automation solutions to improve safety, quality, throughput, and cost-effectiveness across global operations.
61 Collaborate cross-functionally with plant leadership, product engineering, IT, supply chain, and quality teams to align On automation goals and priorities.
61 Serve as a key technical authority in automation architecture, control systems, machine vision, and predictive maintenance technologies.
61 Coordinate and manage technology rollouts across international manufacturing sites, ensuring consistency in execution and performance measurement.
61 Lead global teams or project groups, mentoring engineers and standardizing best practices in automation development and deployment.
61 Establish partnerships with equipment suppliers, integrators, and technology providers On a global scale.
61 Define and track KPIs related to automation and advanced manufacturing outcomes, such as OEE, scrap reduction, labor efficiency, and downtime minimization.
61 Ensure compliance with global safety and environmental regulations, including regional standards.
61 Coordinate 3P’s in the plant. Utilizes the concepts of continuous improvement including Lean.

Required knowledge/education, qualification/ability and/or experience
61 Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, (master’s preferred).
61 8 years of engineering experience in automation and advanced manufacturing, with at least
61 3 years in a leadership role overseeing multi-site/global projects.
61 Proven expertise in automotive manufacturing, specifically fluid transmission components or systems.
61 Strong understanding of PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley), robotics (e.g., FANUC, ABB), HMI/SCADA systems, and network protocols.
61 Demonstrated success in leading automation initiatives in complex, high-volume manufacturing environments.
61 Deep knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies, including IIoT, real-time data analytics, digital twins, and MES systems.
61 Willingness and ability to travel internationally up to 30–40% as needed.In-depth understanding and application of concepts, theories and principles in own discipline.
61 Identify & Coordinate the resolution of issues related to programs or processes
61 Proficient in Microsoft Office.
